2. Installation Notes

Double click on the self installing EXE file and follow the instructions. The models will be automatically installed into a 
folder called << AU_NSWGR_43>>

You will need to create either a new consist to use these vans, or add them to an existing consist. Consists are made, or 
edited, using MSTS Activity Editor or Carlos Gomes’s ConBuilder.

3. Historical Notes

Following on the success of the 40 & 42 class diesel electric locomotives, the NSWGR administration ordered six more Co-Co 
units from Goninans. These became the 43 Class and were numbered from 4301 to 4306.

They had a power rating of 1600hp. 

They were predominantly station at Broadmeadow and serviced the northern area of the state.

All were in service by early 1957 and survived in service until 1979 when they were removed from service.
